C-Square is already lucky enough to have a café, bar, and licensed cinema, but another source of culinary delight has just joined their ranks – A Pinch of Spice Catering, moving in to run their mobile catering business from what was previously the Civic Centre’s commercial kitchen. Owner Desiree McKee has been looking for a central place with good facilities to meet growing demand, and the kitchen at C-Square is just what she was after.
In the past, the fully-equipped commercial kitchen was part of the Nambour Civic Centre and was used to cater for shows and events. With Majestic operating their own Candy Bar for the all-important popcorn, home-made Choc Tops, and now a glass of wine, there was an opportunity for the kitchen facilities to be used by someone else. C-Square owners are delighted to have A Pinch of Spice making full use of the kitchen and bringing their skills and talent as a new offering to the Nambour community. C-Square has a number of spaces where events can be held too, so it is a great partnership. Imagine your own private event on the rooftop at sunset, or be surrounded by art while you dine at Gallery Loloma!
A Pinch of Spice cater from the very small to the very large event, whether it is a picnic, party, wedding, funeral, or corporate event. Their menu is extensive, ranging from finger food, canapés, boxes/bowls/boats with forks, food stations, shared plates, plated mains, BBQs, high teas, and desserts to late night snacks.
A Pinch of Spice Catering is owner operated, and great service is their philosophy. Owner Desiree McKee is excited to bring a great selection of fashionable food to any event. Desiree began her career at the Johannesburg International Airport Hotel in banqueting, and has over twenty years’ experience from work and travel, from South Africa’s luxury Blue Train, to Mauritius, to Noosa Heads. Through A Pinch of Spice, Desiree aims to put fabulous food within everyone’s reach, and make everyone’s event something really special.
Desiree’s catering is available wherever an event is, and staff can either prepare the food off-site and deliver it, or prepare it on-site in a portable kitchen, anywhere from Marcus Beach to Caboolture, to the hinterland, Gympie, and beyond. If clients need help finding the perfect location, Desiree has access to beautiful and secret venues, and staff can help to set up and pack down the event.
A Pinch of Spice specialises in gluten-free, organic, vegan, vegetarian, and raw dietary needs. They celebrate the beauty and abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables available on the Sunshine Coast, and, after working with wholefood, Desiree can work with clients to create the food that suits their beliefs, needs, and desires.
